Evan, our designer and shop manager, designed this coop, delivered, and installed it on Shelley's property. The goose coop is in addition to her custom chicken coop we built almost two years ago. Shelley discusses how the deep litter method works with her geese, which she got as guardian geese for her flock.
She discusses that and shows us the chicken coop and talks about having geese and chickens together. She also purchased a feed silo from CoopWorx that they made taller for her geese as they are on different feed than her chickens.

Her specialty is the interaction of wildlife in urban areas. Falyn talks about the risk of salmonella with chickens and how to mitigate it or if it's really a concern. This incubator turns the eggs (as a mother hen would do) and has temperature and humidity controls. In three weeks, we hope the chicks will hatch during the show.
