Matt and Kristen (and the gang) are live in Franklinton, NC at the home of our customer Jimmy. It's been over two years since Jimmy got his 6'x18' American Coop and he is finally cleaning it out.
Matt and Kristen show how easy it is to clean out one of our coops, with the drop down clean out gate and the 12" deep litter beds that is lined with food safe high density polyethelene. After about 15 minutes, the coop is cleaned out, and we leave some of the litter in there to kick start the new hemp we put in.
After two years and 9 chickens, there is no smell from the deep litter bed.
Then the question of what to do with all that good chicken poop. If you are going to use it in the garden, do you wait or use it right away. Till or no till.
We explain the benefits of the no till method of gardening for a more healthy ecosystem for your plants.
And we answer your questions live.
